get ready to go "wah lao eh!" and smack your forehead hard, people! =)
you'd never believe what happened today. but then again, if you know me well enough, maybe it won't be such a surprise afterall. heh...
remember how i said we'd be collecting the bee today? *sheepish grin*
well...we were at mothercare centrepoint, and we were inspecting the bee that was reserved for us, and we then had dray in the seat, and i couldn't believe how snug the seat was! his head was just under the canopy and his feet were hanging over the end! did my boy just expand overnightmonth, or did the bugaboo shrink? it's much smaller than i remember it to be!
so there we were, noel and i, feeling really worried and indecisive, on one hand having put the mothercare staff thru all the trouble of reserving the bee for us, and the other, knowing dray is just gonna outgrow the bee in a matter of months. weeks even.
but noel, the sweetheart that he is, refrained from saying anything, because he knew how badly i wanted the bee. i was, however, hoping for him to say something so we'd have an excuse to change our minds. i had to ask him SIX TIMES if he was sure we should get the bee. hell, i married this man, i know that look of uncertainty plastered on his face at that precise moment!
in the end, it was with a very embarrassing regret that we told the staff we'd consider the cameleon instead. i felt really embarrassed and was dreadfully sorry! however, i think the extra 800 buckaroos we were willing to fork out ought to make it up, huh huh huh?
but then, there was that whole issue about having to remove the camelon's seat from the chassis that noel wasn't very fond about. stylo mylo, yes...but very the leceh also leh....
sooooo.....guess what we settled with in the end?
tadaaaaa!!!!!

the 2008 quinny buzz 3 in strawberry!
in the end, the quick collapse and unique automatic unfolding mechanism won us over. and not to mention, the uber comfortable stroller seat! i realised that it was mainly the stroller weight that made me eliminate the buzz from our "possible-buys" list. but who cares now! i can always ask the taxi driver very very nicely if he could help, right? =)
dray slept like a baby in the quinny! the foam seat is so comfy, i am jealous! he fell asleep right after we paid for the stroller, i laid him into the seat, and he was immediately engulfed in sweet slumber. and it was such a dream to manouver, that noel and i decided we'd take a walk down to far east afterall, rather than the cab.
sigh...i donno why we went thru all this trouble. we could have gotten the buzz way before! hehee...
well, now we know, "indecisiveness" is my middle name! =)
its just a pity mothercare doesn't sell quinny accessories, and neither does first few years. we dropped by the paragon outlet on the way to far east. i'm too lazy to check out the other baby hypermarts. so the minute we got home, i bought the cup holder online. now i am still considering the shopping basket, but maybe not...cos i rarely used the planet's one as it was, except to store the raincover. but the quinny already comes with a shopping bag that stores the raincover and the bjorn, so i think it'll suffice for now. the only other thing necessary are the hooks to hang our bags, but having seen them online, i imagine that noel would be able to fashion some with velcro straps and carrabenas, so why bother, eh?
tomorrow we're going out, and i can't wait to have more fun with the buzz!
woo hoo! we're not stroller-less anymore! yey!
having said that, i shall bid a tearful farewell to my bugaboo dream... *sniff*

Hey there, happened to chance upon your blog.. I got my baby a buzz too, but it was an older model cos she's already 15 months old.. yup it's super comfy and very easy to manoeuvre, but my hubs hates it cos it's occupyin the whole of our boot space.. and when my second one came along (he's now 3 months), we needed the buzz for the second one, so we bought our first the zapp.. cheaper and more compact, but I still love my buzz!

Hi Yanti!
Thank you for leaving me a note! And I hope you like my hunble blog *blushes* and will continue dropping by! Do you have a blog, too? =)
Oh yes, I'm falling deeper and deeper in love with the Buzz! Am actually relieved we got this one instead of the bee. And i thought i'd be nervous working the escalators with a 3-wheeler, but i had ample practice today, so YEY! =)
Your hubby is right, it DOES occupy the whole of the boot! =( it's like a car itself! lol....
wahh...you're a true blue "Quinner"! heheee.... matching lah, adik beradik with their own Quinny's each! wouldn't it be great if Quinny came up with a twin stroller! =)
Hi again Ann,
I just read this post after leaving my (long - haha sorry I didn't realised it was long)reply on your "pancit" post.
So which cup holder did you get online? Cos I got the Valco universal one and though the cup holder itself is good and useful, it bad for the Buzz! It cut through the rubber padding - the place where you hang the holder and where you put your hand to push the stroller.
And one more thing, when I needed to collapse the stroller, I can't do it without rotating the cup holder(the Valco one can rotate) upside down.
So I got rid of that and now using the "ChildCare" (it's like a net storage with a small zipper compartment and 2 bottle compartments), and the "Jolly Jumper Kiddy Kaddy"(which you can hang on the baby front bar to put sippy cup, biscuits or even small toys and books). =)
i got the official Quinny one, not the many-strollers-compatible kind. =) still waiting patiently for it to arrive tho.
hmmmm...hope it wont pose much of a problem with the collapsing of the stroller. will have to wait and see! =)
Oh wow..I didn't know they have their own bottle holder now! If it's Quinny's one, I don't think it will pose any problem.
Where did you order yours btw? I would like to get it too..
really cool.. envy envy .. esp the auto closing mechanism ...
i got the cup holder off this website in UK that sells quinny accessories....oh dear, cant remember it now...
gotta go thru my history and look for it! =P
will pass it to u once i have it!
cat:
the closing is not auto...
only the opening =)
but very stylo, macam transformers like that know! lol....
i have the website addy! i have it!
you can get the quinny cup holder here:

mine arrived today and its a dream! it fits perfectly, and can be kept on even when folded. it can also be adjusted to fit either left or right.
i love it!
i'm still considering if i should get the shopping basket. hmmm... but the next things i'm definitely gonna get is the parasol.
yesterday we were walking down to the reservoir and it was so sunny, the sun was in dray's eyes. i think clipping the parasol on would be less of a chore than switching the seats around. so yeah...definitely the parasol next! =)
Thanks for the website link, Ann. :) I just had a look at it. The Travel Bag looks good too. Maybe I will get that so next time I can just check-in the stroller w/o worrying they won't arrive in one piece!
Yeah, the shopping basket is something you should really consider about. Though it's not as big as most stroller's basket, it surprisingly still can hold alot.
actually, come to think of it, naaah...i don think i'll be getting the shopping basket.
even with the previous stroller, i didn't use it much. i hated stooping down to store or reach for things. with our previous stroller, i only used the basket to store the rain cover and stroller fan, and with the buzz now, the buzz box is already serving the purpose so i don reckon i'll be needing a shopping basket. =)
