i really can't wait to post photos of the big day, and am trying hard to be patient till i have the photos in my hands...so i think the next best thing i can do is talk about the events that lead up to the big day...till i get the photos this saturday! =)
it's hard to believe that it was four days ago, but i'm still feeling so exhausted from the event and am still on the road to recovery. we certainly did have a blast and our utmost thanks to everyone for taking time to share the special day with us. it wasn't really a convenient venue, so the effort taken to travel all the way down, and then all the way in, is really really appreciated. thank you everyone, every SINGLE one that came, for making the day a success and even more memorable for us. and thank you especially to William, for helping us to capture the precious moments of the event. thanks dude!
so....as you all already know, drayden's first birthday was held at fairypoint chalet 5 at aloha changi, on sunday, april 12. with more than a hundred guests invited, it was just not practical to have it at home. so noel and i settled on chalet 5, cos fairypoint 7 and changi cottage were inopportunely closed for renovations. a million googilian thanks goes to dina, for helping us secure the venue. babes, we'd never be able to thank you enough! your help will never be forgotten!!
fairypoint chalet 5 was an awesome and spacious bungalow, with just the right outdoor area for the toys, and the tables and chairs we rented. here's how the bungalow looks like:
it wasn't very difficult for us to decide on the theme for the party, and it was....
COOKIE MONSTER! =)
so everything about the party is cookie monster, and in colors of blue, white and black!
let's start with the invites!
here are the invitations that i sent out by mail. i made them to look like "tickets", with all the necessary details printed. i had them in varieties of "Admits One", "Admits Two" (for those with partners!) and "Family Pass" (for those with kids!).
i sent them out in blue envelopes too! =)
everyone loved the invites, and one of our friends even got hers laminated and turned into a bookmark! =)
